6 Kingsland Terrace

The adaptive re-use of this existing 1960s industrial building required both seismic assessment and strengthening.  New structural steel rod bracing was implemented in combination with the existing structure to provide robust lateral load paths.  The outcome was a refurbished commercial building, with modern facilities, achieved with relatively simple and efficient structural intervention.  This was a much more sustainable way of creating new commercial space than building new.
